ASSISTance: June 2019

June 2019

  • The New ASSIST Website is Live! - Nearly 200,000 people visited the website in the first month of release; 25% of those users did so from a mobile device.

  • ASSIST Coordination Site  – Many people may not know that ASSIST has had a physical office location in Irvine near the UCI campus for many years. With the transition away from the legacy ASSIST system, whose physical servers are housed on the UCI campus, and the availability of ASSIST staff at various locations across the State of California, the Irvine office is now closed as of July 8, 2019. There will be no interruption to ASSIST services or to the support provided by the ASSIST team. Should you need to send anything to ASSIST, please do so using our UCOP home base as noted below:

  • Updated: ASSIST Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) - This living document, updated regularly, provides a quick and easy way to access answers to questions likely to be asked about the new ASSIST public site. Critical information regarding what is and is not available on assist.org is included in the FAQ including:
    • Explore Majors information
    • Recent year agreement availability

  • 19-20 UC Transferability List and UC Transfer Admission Eligibility List - We have received multiple questions in the help@assist.org inbox asking for these 19-20 lists. UC Office of the President reviews community college courses each summer for the upcoming academic year. The updated list is not usually published until the fall.

  • External links to UC and CSU campus and major information not currently available on assist.org  - these links, previously listed on the old assist.org, are visible under the “View Agreement” and “Download Agreement” buttons when users search for any agreements between institutions.

  • ASSIST Support - Click on the “Support” button at the bottom of assist.org to contact us directly, link to the ASSIST Resource Center, and provide feedback via survey.
    • Please complete our survey! Your feedback is extremely important to us! To date, we have received more than 100 responses from users. We are analyzing the feedback regularly to identify topics of interest, priority, and areas that require further tutorials or communication.
